Rider Sports Massage
Most of us, as riders, have a tendency to prioritise our horses health over our own and can overlook what an important role we play in our physical partnership. If your horse required you to have a 5* vetting for your own body, how do you think you would get on?
Do you have previous injuries you haven’t had checked, or rehabilitated properly, as you would with your horse?
Do you find you are stronger, or more dominant, on one side of your body, or feel a ‘crookedness’ when you ride, which in turn affects your horse’s way of going?
Do you feel tightness and tension in certain areas, that restricts and limits your posture and abilities in the saddle?
These are all questions we should be asking ourselves as riders and consider what is being transferred from our own bodies to our horses as we train. How can we help them to carry us on their backs in comfort and with ease? This is something we must remain aware of at all times.
Because horse and rider will adapt and accommodate for each other’s imbalances and restrictions, it is so beneficial to have a combined session, to really help you work as a partnership.
